The Legislative Report from AASP-MO....

MODNR finished taking bids for equipment and managing
the Emissions Program.

\SB 150 - This act makes motor vehicles that are at least
ten years old exempt from the state and local sales tax on the
titling of motor vehicles. This exemption does not apply to motor
vehicles with a sales price of more than $15,000. This provision
is similar to SB 693 (2014) and HB 1387 (2014). Hearing Held
in March. Died in committee

HB 68 - Allows a motor vehicle dealer up to 21 days after
the sale or transfer of a motor vehicle or trailer to deliver the
certificate of ownership to the buyer. Referred to transportation
Committee. Died in committee

HB455 – Repeals the requirement that all motor vehicles
must obtain a Missouri State Safety Inspection before the vehicle
may be licensed. Thanks to all that contacted their Reps when
requested. This bill has been assigned to committee. OPPOSED
TO THIS BILL. Died in committee

HCS/HB520 – Makes a tax credit available to companies
hiring students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and
math. House Bills For Perfection. Died on House floor

HB371 – Requires a motor vehicle licensed in Missouri to
have only one license plate instead of two. Died in committee

HB447 – Eliminates sales tax on the purchase of used motor
vehicles, trailers, boats and outboard motors. Referred to Ways
and Means. Died in committee

HB1327 – SPONSOR: Korman – This bill requires that beginning
January 1, 2015, the Department of Revenue must charge
and collect a miles driven fee of up to $200 for a one-year vehicle
registration and up to $400 for a two-year vehicle registration.
At the time of the issuance of registration, an odometer reading
must be recorded by the department that must be taken from the
bill of sale or certificate of title of vehicle if newly acquired, from
the official odometer reading at the vehicle’s most recent safety
